We reported that the two trios are now a “six-pack” of cubs, and indeed they are merging into a busy, active group. However, we noticed that Viola Bear, from Trio 1, is taking a bit of a proprietary attitude toward some of the attractions in the Wild Enclosure. You’ll see what we mean in the photos below.

The cubs of Trio 1 peer down from the platform.

Viola Bear meets one of the new cubs up close. It looks as though they are shaking paws.

Viola shows off a culvert den.

A new cub checks out the den.

Viola continues and shows off the vertical tree den.
We can imagine her telling the cubs of Trio 2, “You know, all these things are mine.”

A Meet and Greet took place under the two trees.

They left the meeting in an orderly line.

One of the Trio 2 cubs got into the drinking tub.

How many cubs can fit in this tub?

A cub leads the way to the large pool.

This is better – more room for cubs!

In her own enclosure, Magnolia climbs her favorite tree.
On this particular day, Bumble B. Bear did not make an appearance. He was resting in one of his own culvert dens, or in the underbrush.
We’re glad that the six cubs are getting along so well now.
